Jordan X Powder Blue
Release Date: February 22nd
Worn by Jordan:
These Jordan X (10) retros featuring the Powder Blue colorway pay tribute to his North Carolina playing days. Jordan never wore this colorway while playing, and in fact the 10′s were almost the first Jordan shoe that Jordan never played in.
During his hiatus from the league to pursue a baseball career these shoes were created by the great shoe architect Tinker Hatfield. While Jordan was never supposed to play in these, he made his first appearance in these shoes at a Scottie Pippen hosted all star game in Chicago. As we all know Jordan’s retirement did not last long, and he came back rocking the 10′s all the way to the second round of the playoffs, where the Bulls made a quick exit to the Orlando Magic.
Don’t be surprised to see the UNC team rocking these if they make it to the tourney. Jordan is notorious for giving out retros to team members during tourney time, which is legal in the NCAA because UNC is sponsored by the Jumpman.
These shoes look to be the first of 2 Jordan X releases this year.
